Biography

Dr. Dwight Thomas Curtis has been a practicing physician since 1988. He is Board certified in Family Practice. His medical staff appointments include Acadia General Hospital in Crowley, Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette, Acadia-St. Landry Hospital in Church Point and Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Lafayette. Dr. Curtis is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians, Louisiana State Medical Society and the Acadia Parish Medical Society.

 

 

 

Dr. Curtis is a graduate of the Wynne High School Class of 1978 in Wynne, Arkansas. He attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana at Lafayette majoring in Biology and Chemistry and received a Bachelor of Science in 1981. He was on the Dean’s List for College of Science for 5 semesters. Dr. Curtis received his Doctors of Medicine degree in 1985 from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed his Family Medicine residency in June of 1988 at W.O. Moss Regional Hospital in Lake Charles.

 

 

 

Dr. Curtis is married to Amanda Ann Cates Curtis and they have four sons: John Thomas Curtis, his wife Casey and their sons Jack and Dane; Charles Logan Curtis, Carl Edward Curtis and his wife Courtney, and Scott Ross Curtis.
