Biography

Growing up as the daughter of a doctor, Marin Dawson’s lifelong dream was to practice medicine with her father. On June 18, 2012 that dream became a reality as Dr. Marin Dawson joined the staff at Acadiana Pediatrics.

 

A 1996 graduate of the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau, she began her career in medicine by graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. She was accepted into medical school in 2000 at Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale. Following her graduation from medical school, she entered the Pediatrics Residency program at Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital in Orlando. After two years in Orlando, she gained more valuable experience in the Pediatrics Residency program at Children’s Hospital in New Orleans.

 

As a board certified member of both the American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Dawson will provide area families with newborn and general care for infants through adolescence as well as care for special needs children.

 

The doctors of Acadiana Pediatrics have nursery privileges at Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Lafayette and American legion Hospital in Crowley.

 

Dr. Dawson is married to Dr. Kyle Caswell and they are the proud parents of Kaylin, Liam and Adalyn Caswell.
