Biography

Dr. Danielle Duhon was born and raised in Opelousas, Louisiana. She attended college at University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelors of Science in Biology.

She received her medical degree from LSUHSC New Orleans School of Medicine, receiving the Gerald R Gehringer Award for outstanding leadership and scholarly accomplishment in the field of Family Medicine.

Dr. Duhon completed her residency training at LSU University Hospital & Clinics in Lafayette and graduated as a board certified family medicine physician in July 2016.

Her practice focuses on treating the family as a whole, from newborns to the elderly. Dr. Duhon and her staff will strive to support you in achieving your goals of a healthier life and lifestyle for you and your family. 

 

Services

Her practice cares for acute and chronic general medical issues and health maintenance surveillance. She offers full gynecological examinations for females, and offer counseling on hormonal therapy and contraception, including intrauterine devices (IUD) and Nexplanon implants.

Dr. Duhon firmly believes that skin care is of the upmost importance, and she offers skin cancer screening, biopsies, and cryotherapy. She also performs minor surgery for lesions that are able to be cared for in-office.
